you should listen to your parents about relationships because they have gone threw it, when it comes down to having a problem with your boyfirend/girlfirend, or you dont know what what to do;or it has to deal with sex. It might be hard to talk to you parents about it, but they know the best for you. but then again your parents might want to keep you to close and tell you to stay away from the opposite sex, then the parent is being to ingnorant, and that is when you have to have some common sense on what to do.
