Personally, I feel like we should listen to our parents to a certain extent. I mean, they are older and have been through some things, but they might not know exactly what we're going through. I listen to what they have to say and take a little from what i've learned in the past and put them both together and see what happens with it. But, however, how are we going to learn and grow if we always listen to someone else and never experience things for ourselves and learn from our mistakes? You can learn alot by listening but at some point, you'll have to make choices on your own and no matter how much you listen, you're the one thats gonna be in the situation, not you parents.
